A Traditional Mid-Autumn Night in the Heart of the City

Mid-Autumn Festival holds a special meaning for each of us. Yet, in today’s fast-paced modern life, fully experiencing a truly traditional Mid-Autumn night is no easy task. Understanding this, Phu Long Corporation, in collaboration with the Dragon Hill Building Management, organized the event “Moonlight Gathering at the Land of the Dragon” exclusively for Dragon Hill residents, under the message: “Preserving tradition, living modern.” This also reflects Phu Long’s mission — to pioneer in building modern cities and cultivating fertile lands where green dreams take root and rise.

The spirit of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival was vividly recreated through folk games and cultural displays, allowing children in the city to step away from screens and immerse themselves in the charm of Vietnamese heritage.

All of Phu Long’s efforts aimed to bring smiles and connection to the Dragon Hill community. It was almost impossible to catch a word with the residents — some were immersed in play with their children, others lost in the warm nostalgia of childhood memories.

We were lucky to speak with Mr. Normand Blanchard, a resident of Dragon Hill 2. He shared that this was his first time celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Vietnam, and he was thrilled to bring his 9-year-old daughter to join the celebration and learn about Vietnamese culture. She had a fantastic time and didn’t miss a single game!

In contrast, Ms. Trinh’s family, with their three little princesses, has lived in Dragon Hill for over two years. Each year, they look forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival organized by Phu Long. Her 7-year-old roamed freely around the game booths, while the younger twins experienced their very first Mid-Autumn with wide-eyed wonder. Seeing her daughters’ bright and excited faces, Ms. Trinh was overjoyed and grateful for such a meaningful community event — not only for children but for all residents of Dragon City.

As the event came to a close, a gentle autumn rain began to fall. Yet, the joy in the eyes of the residents was undeniable — a powerful motivation for Phu Long to continue organizing such community-bonding events, creating timeless values that will keep thriving across generations, especially for the children.
