The magical “Happy Tet” fair on Home Hanoi Xuan 2023 flower street

This morning, January 13, 2023, the Home Hanoi Xuan 2023 flower street and Happy Tet fair were officially launched at Mailand Hanoi City (North An Khanh, Thang Long Boulevard, Hoai Duc, Hanoi), attracting thousands of visitors to visit, enjoy, and experience.

This is the third year that the flower street and Tet fair are held during the traditional Tet holiday with the companionship of the State Committee on Vietnamese -Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Unesco, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, District People’s Committee Hoai Duc, Sovico, Phu Long et al.

With the theme of “Marvelous Tet Universe,” this year’s Spring Flower Street recreates an impressive Tet space with 6 subdivisions: The Cloudy Route, the Golden Planet, the Planet of Fortune, the Affluence Milky Way, and Miracle Memories. Each subdivision is a “combination” of traditional Tet symbols, from present to future, promising to create unforgettable memories of a magical Tet.

Taking place from January 13 to 25, 2023 (December 22 to January 4 in the lunar calendar), Home Hanoi Xuan 2023 Flower Street will be a special trip to introduce visitors to the magic of the Vietnamese Tet Holiday. Along with that, the Happy Tet Fair, organized by the Center for Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion of Hanoi City, took place from January 13 to January 15, 2023, with the participation of nearly 100 stalls and a variety of specialities from different brands, regions, and craft villages across the country.

“Home Hanoi Xuan 2023” flower street and the “Happy Tet 2023” fair was co-organized at Mailand Hanoi City (Splendora) with the careful preparation of the organizers and participants, promising to become an impressive attraction. This year’s event becomes more special and meaningful when it is one of the side activities of the program “Spring Homeland 2023,” organized by the State Committee for Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic and attended by nearly 3,000 overseas Vietnamese from all over the world returning to their homeland to celebrate Tet. “This is a good opportunity for domestic enterprises and cooperatives to promote, introduce products, and connect businesses with overseas Vietnamese from all over the world, promoting and attracting resources from overseas businesses.” Mr. Bui Duy Quang, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, said.

Connecting Happy Tet is the Pont de Long Bien Walking Street that attracts thousands of visitors to the space of the past and presents Tet through images and activities full of warmth and happiness. It is the innocent joy of children when they can decorate Tet items by themselves; the happiness of the father and mother when reuniting with the children and grandchildren; the joy and happiness of expatriates when returning home. In addition, visitors also directly experienced attractive shopping, culinary, and entertainment experiences; craft villages; and community interactions such as asking for calligraphy, writing a wish and throwing it on the fortune tree to pray for peace, packing Chung cake, making pottery, making incense, etc.

Held during the traditional Tet holiday at Mailand Hanoi City Urban Area, the Home Hanoi Xuan 2023 Flower Street and the Happy Tet Fair are exclusive gifts for residents of Mailand Hanoi City, the Hanoi capital, and neighbouring provinces, as well as overseas Vietnamese, on the occasion of the Tet Holiday, contributing to the formation of a creative cultural space in the western area of Hanoi according to commitments and initiatives to join UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network.
